Wow - where has the time gone? We are one week from the end of the month and we have had such a busy past few weeks. I hope that you all are reading every night for your reading log - remember - you CAN also count your minutes for your Million Minutes Log for Mrs. Sturgeon in the Media Center. Our class reading log will be due on November 1st, and the Media Center Log will be due by November 4th at the latest. One name a month will be drawn from the Media Center logs that are turned in to receive a special prize!
This week we will finish up our study of Measurement and TIme, with our Unit 2 Test on Wednesday. Please make sure you use the study guide to review with your parents. There are also some great games on measurement, time and temperature on the WebLInks so be sure to check it out.
In Science we will continue to discuss the Sun, Moon and the Seasons. Show your parents that cool website that I showed you in the lab where you can see how the Earth looks from the moon! We will finish this unit up next week and then be moving on to our next Social Studies Unit where we will learn more about the people who lived in what would eventually become Georgia.
We are also going to finish up our personal narratives - the ones we have been working on about a time when we were scared, sad, angry, shocked, etc.... we will have a final copy by the end of the week. Our next writing lessons will be persuasive writings - where you try to convince someone to do something...stay tuned.
Have a good evening and leave me a message to let me know you checked in :) I always look forward to getting your messages and questions!
